Live music + projection + light + architecture

What you'll see

For one night only, a 19th-century church becomes the stage of a visual concert.

Musicians of the Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra play Vivaldi's Four Seasons live. On the front wall, ebru paintings come to life, painting on water: colors flow, blend and turn into new images, created especially for this work, following every movement. To the sides and behind the audience, light colors the arches, columns and stained glass, and the architecture becomes part of the image. The whole church surrounds you: an immersive experience where music, image and space sound together. The projection adapts to the space and evolves with the music. The image doesn't race: it breathes with the music.

No Spanish needed: it's music and images from start to finish.

And one more detail: in the southern hemisphere, November is spring. We start where Vivaldi does.

The venue
The Templo Escondido ("hidden church") is part of the Santa Felicitas historic complex. It was built in the late 19th century inside the complex and has no entrance from the street, which is how it got its name. Its stained glass comes from the French studio Dagrant.
Address
Pinzón 1480, Barracas, Buenos Aires. A few blocks from San Telmo and La Boca.

FAQ

Before you come

Do I need to speak Spanish?

No. The concert is instrumental music with images, no spoken text.

Is it an immersive concert?

Yes, in the sense that the whole space becomes part of the concert: the visuals are projected on the front wall and light transforms the architecture around you. Don't expect images on every wall or a high-speed show: the music sets the pace.

How long is it?

About one hour, no intermission.

When do doors open?

To be confirmed. We'll send it with your ticket.

Are seats numbered?

To be confirmed, depending on ticket category.

How do I get to Barracas?

The church is at Pinzón 1480, Barracas, a few blocks from San Telmo and La Boca. We recommend a taxi or ride app. Parking: to be confirmed.

Is there a bar?

We're arranging a bar before and after the concert.

Can I take photos?

Yes, without flash and without disturbing people around you. If you share on Instagram, tag us.

Is it suitable for children?

We recommend it for ages 6 and up. Younger children are welcome if they are used to live classical concerts: it's an hour of music with no intermission, and we ask that they can enjoy it without disturbing other listeners.

Is the venue accessible?

The Templo Escondido is one floor up and can only be reached by stairs: one flight from the street and two more, with no elevator or ramp. It is not wheelchair accessible and may be difficult for people with limited mobility. If you're unsure, write to us before buying and we'll talk it through.

Who plays?

Musicians of the Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra: solo violin, string quartet and keyboard. An independent production by Philharmonic Pictures, with no institutional link to the Teatro Colón.
